  1. Ohio State Ranks 5th on Top Peace Corps Producing Universities in 2019

    The Peace Corps has announced that Ohio State ranked No. 5 among large schools on the agency’s 2019 Top Volunteer-Producing Colleges and Universities list. There are 62 Buckeyes currently volunteering worldwide. Since the agency’s founding in 1961, 1,883 Buckeyes have served in communities around the world.

  2. CFAES team awarded project to establish partnership with university in Kazakhstan

    The College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) was recently awarded a grant from the American Councils on International Education, with support from the U.S. Embassy in Astana, to establish a partnership between The Ohio State University and Kazakh National Agrarian University (KazNAU) in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

    Dr. Mark Erbaugh, Director of International Programs in Agriculture, and Dr. Luis Cañas, Associate Professor in the Department of Entomology, traveled to the Pan-American School of Agriculture – popularly referred to as Zamorano University - in Honduras from December 6 – 12, 2018, to reaffirm and strengthen existing linkages on behalf of the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES). 

  5. Office of International Affairs Releases Report for Strengthening the University's Success in the Fulbright Scholar Program

    In 2016, The Ohio State University's Office of International Affairs partnered with the Office of Research and Planning to assess the Fulbright Scholar Program. On November 26th, the Office of International Affairs released a full-length report detailing the findings of the study and outlining recommendations going forward.

    A total of 360 Ohio State faculty and staff participated in the study's survey and focus groups, of which 39 of those participants represented the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES).

    The School of Environment and Natural Resources (SENR), on behalf of Ohio State’s College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES), signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Northeast Forestry University (NEFU), located in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province of China.

  7. IPM Project Saves Money for Kenyan Farmer

    Moses Ruendo is a tall Kenyan who has been farming for most of his life in Chuka County, Kenya – located in the rural Kenyan highlands. When the government sponsored an irrigation project, he hoped to stabilize production and get neighboring growers together to market their vegetable crops. But it was not so easy.
