The focus of this year's annual Association for International Agriculture and Rural Development (AIARD) conference is "From the Ground UP: Generating Meaningful Local Solutions", where CIAT Director General Ruben Echeverria will be the keynote speaker for the conference. The conference planning team is working hard to create sessions on translational research, meaningful collaborations, and identifying and overcoming barriers to establishing local solutions. Lightning talks will return in 2016, with the theme of Change Agents.
