Dean Bruce McPheron addressed 28 members of the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities’ (APLU) International Agriculture Section on February 7th during the group’s first online webinar. As the current Chair of APLU’s Board on Agricultural Assembly, Dean McPheron elaborated on the various ways that faculty and administrators within higher education institutions can be proactively engaged to raise the profile of international agriculture.
Dr. Mark Erbaugh, Director of the Office of International Programs in Agriculture with the College of Food, Agriculture, and Environmental Sciences, currently serves as the Chair of the International Agriculture Section and invited Dean McPheron to speak to the group, adding that his comments provided a way forward for the participants from 18 different US land-grant universities.
